Banwo and Ighodalo Suits Program

B&I Suits Program

B&I Suits Program was launched in 2013, with the objective to consistently groom law students in the non-academic, academic and professional aspects of legal study, thereby exposing them in advance, to a “real” and invaluable perspective of what to expect in the pursuit of a legal career. Participants are typically excellent law students in their penultimate year in the university; who intern with the Firm during semester holidays until they are admitted into the Nigerian Bar.

In June 2014,  Messrs. Toni Numa & Mayokun David, both of whom are undergraduate law students of the University of Lagos; and were undergoing an internship with our Firm under our “B&I Suits Program” were nominees for the annual Africa Energy Forum (AEF) in Istanbul, Turkey for the EnergyNet Student Engagement Initiative (“ESEI”).

Undoubtedly, only a lawyer exposed to the right balance of academic excellence and practical experience will attain her/his full potential. The EnergyNet Student Engagement Initiative (“ESEI”) is a veritable resource which affords young legal minds the invaluable opportunity of a glimpse into the “real world” of Africa’s unique energy sector, whilst they are yet students.
Our Firm’s endorsement of and partnership with EnergyNet is to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring that the next generation of legal talent receives the best training and encouragement possible; both for their personal development and ultimately, the advancement of Africa’s energy sector.”

Ken Etim, Managing Partner, Banwo & Ighodalo.
