Joshua Olorunmaiye
Joshua is an experienced Associate in the Energy and Natural Resources practice group of Banwo & Ighodalo. He has, over the years, gained multiple experiences providing bespoke legal advisory services to high net-worth individuals, corporate entities, multinationals, and government agencies in the Nigerian energy (petroleum, gas and power) sector.
He has numerously prepared and negotiated diverse petroleum, gas and power-related project agreements and documentation, and has also advised on mergers & acquisitions, and corporate & project finance transactions.
Joshua was a key member of the team that advised an indigenous telecommunications company in respect of the concession from the Federal Government of Nigeria to rehabilitate and operate a secured and independent multimedia communications system for the Nigerian Police Force, alongside the acquisition of 75% of the issued share capital of Forte Oil Plc by Prudent Energy and Services Limited. He was also an integral of the team that advised Optimera Energy LFZ Enterprise, in relation to its first-of-its-kind gas infrastructure project in the Lagos Free Trade Zone.
Other than working on deals, Joshua loves to write, engage in personal development and legal public speaking, sing, and play chess.
